Common Loons are my favorite bird! Mainly for their distinctive calls(which can be heard in the background of many shows/movies, particularly in regions where they do not live) & their black & white plumage pattern during the breeding season. They are fascinating creatures & I hope to one day see one in person. Fun fact: their legs are located farther back on their bodies, which makes them very good swimmers, but very bad walkers.
